Tim Jackson

Tim Jackson currently serves as Chief Counsel for Rio Tinto, overseeing global legal support for the company's sales, marketing, marine logistics, trading, and related commercial activities across a diverse range of minerals including iron ore, copper, and lithium since November 2025. Prior to this role, Tim Jackson held various legal leadership positions at Vale from January 2008 to November 2025, culminating in the role of Regional Head of Legal for Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and Europe, where leadership was provided to teams across multiple countries. Responsibilities included legal support for operations, projects, compliance, and multi-regional legal management. Tim Jackson holds an LLB with honors from Monash University, completed between 1991 and 1996, and received foundational education at Brighton Grammar School in Melbourne.
