Jesseka McGee

Jesseka McGee is the current HR Coordinator at RIOS. Prior to that, they held the position of Jr. Human Resources Generalist at Topson Downs of California, Inc. from October 2017 to April 2021. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining most responsibilities listed under the Human Resources & Facilities Coordinator title, as well as assisting in special projects such as performance reviews, the employee handbook, and running reports for internal and external audits. Jesseka also kept updated on company policies, procedures, and related documents as needed. Other responsibilities included conducting exit interviews, coordinating exit processes and the collection of company property, and maintaining time sheets accurately and timely.

From November 2015 to September 2016, Jesseka McGee was a Career and College Ambassador at Watts Labor Community Action Committee. In this role, they reported to the Director and Supervising Case Manager of the Family Source Center and was responsible for creating and implementing a successful college prep program and curriculum for high school students. Jesseka also case managed high school students and families to develop long-term awareness of the pathways and challenges related to post-secondary opportunities, and cultivated individual future plans. Additionally, they collaborated with teachers and administrators to identify students who required additional support, developed and maintained collaborative relationships with students, parents, schools and community agencies to provide college and career resources, supervised 8-10 interns weekly, generated donation request letters, handled key projects and assisted with planning college fairs and workshops from concept to completion for 50-100 people, distributed marketing materials, coordinated meetings internally and externally, and coordinated grassroots efforts with college community outreach representatives and community partners to increase awareness about the college prep program. Finally, they performed data entry, filing, maintained and updated 6 google contact databases for mailing correspondence, invitations and dates of contact for students, vendors and community partners, answered and screened phone calls to proper departments and staff members.

Jesseka McGee has a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a concentration in Social Justice from Goucher College. Jesseka is certified in Human Resources Management from California State University-Dominguez Hills and Work Readiness from the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. Jesseka also has a certification from Wells Fargo in their 2014 HIRE LA's Youth Internship/ Professional Development Training Program.

Jesseka Mcgee reports to Jessamyn Davis, Co-CEO. Jesseka Mcgee works with Huay Wee - Managing Studio Director, Matt Richmond - Chief Technology Officer, and Reka Kumar - Project Director.
