National Director Of Operations & HR at Rise

Michael Grey has a diverse work experience, with roles in various organizations. Michael started their career at Kaiser Permanente as a Pharmacy Intern, where they gained experience in shadowing healthcare professionals. Michael then joined the University of California, Merced as a Student Coordinator and later became the Lead Student Coordinator for the Guardian Scholars Program. In these roles, they organized events and programs for scholars and played a significant role in program reorganization. Michael also worked at Rise, initially as an Operations Manager and later as Deputy Director of Operations, responsible for coordinating daily operations and improving technical aspects of the organization's programs. Michael also served as the Program Associate for Foster Youth Advocacy, designing and leading a fellowship to support college students who have experienced the foster care system in advocating for themselves and their community. In addition, Michael co-founded the Guardian Scholars Alumni Advisory Committee to connect current scholars with alumni and provide opportunities for alumni to give back. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Operations at Rise, overseeing the organization's activities and ensuring its efficient management.

Michael Grey has a diverse education history. Michael obtained a Master's in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies, with a focus on Higher Education/Higher Education Administration, from California State University-Sacramento. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Human Biology from the University of California, Merced. Michael also attended Shasta College briefly in 2021, studying Human Services, General, and obtained a Certificate of Completion for Pharmacy Technician/Assistant from Center High School in 2016-2017. In addition, they received a Diploma from Center High School in 2017. Michael has obtained additional certifications, including the International Peer Educator Training Program Certification (IPTPC) from the University of California, Merced in August 2020, and a Certificate of Completion for Pharmacy Technician Training Course from PassAssured in July 2017.
