Rise Up Academics is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Burlington, Kentucky, dedicated to empowering high school students through mentorship, technology access, and real-world leadership development.

Founded in 2023, we believe that every student, regardless of background, zip code, or circumstance, has the potential to rise above their obstacles and build a future they deserve. Our job is to make sure they have the tools, the mentorship, and the opportunity to do it.

What We Do

We develop students through hands-on internship programs, professional skills training, and leadership development rooted in organizational psychology, including Scaled Agile Framework and Six Sigma methodologies. We award annual technology and engineering scholarships to deserving students at the Ignite Institute of Northern Kentucky, and we refurbish donated devices to close the technology gap for students who need it most.

Our annual Leadership Conference brings together hundreds of students for a day of experiential learning across eight leadership domains. Our PsychLeadership podcast, with over 1,000 downloads across 66 countries and 300+ cities, extends our reach far beyond Northern Kentucky, bringing psychology-informed leadership content to students and professionals worldwide.

Our Programs
• Technology Scholarship — annual device awards for Ignite Institute scholars
• Dan and Donna Fehler Engineering Impact Scholarship — supporting the next generation of engineers
• Internship Program — real projects, real partners, real experience
• Leadership Conference — hosted each March at the Ignite Institute
• PsychLeadership Podcast — available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more
• Rise Up for Success Clothing Drive — professional attire for students in need
