Matt Strauss is a highly experienced leader and entrepreneur, currently serving as President, Board Member, and Founder of RiseKit since December 2017, where the organization focuses on connecting overlooked talent with employment opportunities sourced from community organizations. Strauss is also recognized as a Forbes Human Resources Council Influencer, contributing articles on topics such as compliance, diversity, equity, inclusion, and social entrepreneurship. Previous roles include serving as a guest contributor for Spiceworks News & Insights, mentoring at the Ed Kaplan Family Institute for Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship, and engaging with various organizations in Chicago to enhance leadership and community engagement. Strauss began the professional journey in finance and has held leadership positions in several startups and community initiatives, including WeevU 2.0 and i.c.stars.
