David Shimon has over 16 years of work experience in software engineering and data science. In 2020, they began working as a Software Engineer at Riseup. From 2015-2020, they worked as a Senior Data Science Engineer and Software Engineer at Forter, where they implemented a flexible alerting system and designed and developed a Bayesian statistical model to detect repeating customers. From 2014-2015, they were a Senior Data Scientist at Adallom, where they developed data products to detect dangerous or suspicious data, sessions and events. From 2012-2014, they were a Senior Data Scientist at LivePerson and developed a predictive targeting model. From 2010-2012, they worked as an Algorithm Engineer at Amadesa. From 2008-2010, they worked at the Israeli Air Force as a Software Developer and System Engineer. Finally, from 2004-2008, they worked at the Israeli Air Force as a Research Officer, where they innovated start-up projects and claimed an award from the head of Air Intelligence Directorate.
David Shimon has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Math, and Physics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which they obtained between 2001 and 2004. David also holds a Master of Arts degree in the Excutive Program in Diplomacy and Security from Tel Aviv University, which they obtained in 2005. In 2009 and 2010, they took Computer Science courses at Tel Aviv University. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications from Coursera, one in Functional Programming Principles in Scala and another in Machine Learning.
