Duncan Powell

Duncan Powell has a long and varied work experience. In 2020, they held the roles of CFO, Strategic Financial Advisor, Corporate Development, and Financial and Corporate Development Executive at Risilience, Varicent, and an unnamed company, respectively. In 2019, they were the CFO at Riskalyze, where they updated reporting and analytics to increase visibility of drivers of revenue growth and profitability, oversaw the implementation of ASC 606, and improved productivity through the reorganization of the accounting team. From 2016 to 2018, they were the VP Corporate Development at Intapp, where they completed 3 acquisitions in less than 12 months and introduced reporting and analytics to highlight product line profitability and support resource allocations decisions. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Senior Vice President, Finance at Veracyte, Inc., where they developed valuation modeling for and directed the financial due diligence, SEC reporting and audit related aspects of a $20 million acquisition. From 2001 to 2014, they were the Senior Vice President, Finance at Risk Management Solutions, Inc., where they led the global Finance, Accounting, Corporate Development and Facilities functions, successfully completed acquisitions and licensing arrangements valued at $60M+, and established a significant lease financing programs to support a capital-intensive cloud strategy. From 1999 to 2001, they were the Finance Manager at DMG Information. From 1996 to 1999, they were the Corporate Finance Manager at Somerfield, where they were accountable for the M&A agenda, including a full review of the UK food industry for potential acquisition targets, which resulted in the $2B acquisition of Kwik Save.

Duncan Powell obtained their Chartered Accountancy qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales (UK) between 1992 and 1995. Duncan then went on to obtain a BA Honors in Classics from the University of Bristol between 1989 and 1992. In 2009, they completed an Advanced Executive Program from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management's General Management Program. Additionally, they hold a Chartered Accountant certification in the UK.
