Yuan Ma

Yuan Ma has extensive work experience as a senior product designer, UX/UI software designer, product designer, user experience designer, and interaction designer. They currently serve as the founding designer and senior product designer at RisingWave Labs since 2022. Prior to this, Yuan worked at ETS from 2018 to 2020 as a UX/UI software designer, leading the design process and deliverables for the "DQSaaS" platform and initiating UI optimizations for the "iCat" platform. Before that, Yuan worked as a product designer at Culinary Agents from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, they served as a user experience designer at ADP from 2013 to 2016, where they performed expert reviews, conducted redesigns, and optimized designs to meet UX best practices. Yuan's work experience also includes a role as an interaction designer at Opera Solutions from 2012 to 2013, where they distilled business requirements and user goals into efficient interaction designs and produced workflow diagrams, wireframes, and clickable prototypes.

Yuan Ma has a strong background in art and design with a focus on graphic design. They completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication in 2006. They then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Graphic Design with additional studies in Printing Art and Technologies at the same institution from 2006 to 2009. Yuan Ma furthered their education at the University of Michigan, where they earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Art & Design with a specialization in Information from 2009 to 2012.
