Ciaran Burns

Ciaran Burns has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ciaran currently works at Riskonnect, Inc. as a Senior Analyst, a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to this role, they served as an Analyst at the same company from April 2020 to April 2022.

Before joining Riskonnect, Inc., Ciaran worked at Graham Facilities Management as an IT Business Analyst from February 2016 to March 2020. In this role, they were responsible for analyzing company data, creating strategies, and identifying problems or discrepancies within data sets. Ciaran also managed the company fleet and fleet management solution, documented required changes, and communicated them to relevant parties. Ciaran also independently managed a Computer Science Final Year Project, where they served as a Project Manager and Developer from September 2014 to June 2015. In this role, they successfully initiated and managed the project, which involved creating an Android app for distributing and assessing math diagnostic tests. Ciaran utilized their proficiency in Java programming language, Android Studio, and the Parse cloud database API to complete the project.

Lastly, Ciaran had a placement at Banbridge District Council as an IT Student from January 2012 to May 2012 as part of their Foundation Degree. Overall, their work experience highlights their analytical skills, ability to manage projects, and expertise in various programming languages and tools.

Ciaran Burns obtained a Bachelor's Honors degree in Computer Science from Ulster University, which they attended from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Level 5 Foundation Degree in Computing and Network Systems at Southern Regional College from 2010 to 2012. From 2008 to 2010, they attended Southern Regional College for a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in ICT Practitioners (Software Development). Before starting college, they completed their high school education at St Malachys High School Castlewellan from 2003 to 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Ciaran Burns obtained several certifications from CompTIA. Ciaran received the CompTIA CySA+ ce Certification, CompTIA Security Analytics Professional – CSAP Stackable Certification, CompTIA A+ ce Certification, CompTIA IT Operations Specialist – CIOS Stackable Certification, CompTIA Network+ ce Certification, CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist – CSIS Stackable Certification, and CompTIA Security+ ce Certification. Ciaran obtained these certifications between October and November 2019.
