Dan Goodwin

Dan Goodwin is currently an advisor at RiskSpan. Prior to that, they were the Director of Mortgage Policy at The Structured Finance Industry Group, Inc. from September 2015 to April 2019. In that role, SFIG worked with its full membership to revitalize the MBS market by recognizing issues and finding consensus solutions that do not require regulatory mandate. The organization made significant headway that included the RMBS 3.0 initiative, a broad industry-supported endeavor designed to develop industry best practices and reduce substantive differences within the current market.

Prior to their time at The Structured Finance Industry Group, Inc., Dan Goodwin was the SVP, Managing Director and Group Head at SWS Group | SWS Securities Inc from September 2012 to September 2013. In that role, they provided capital and advice to middle market companies and specialty lenders.

Before joining SWS Group | SWS Securities Inc, Dan Goodwin was a Managing Director at Banc of America Securities LLC from July 1997 to August 2012.

Most recently, Dan Goodwin was the owner of Cleveland Park Advisors LLC from January 2019 to October 2021.

Dan Goodwin began their career as a Vice President at Nomura Securities from January 1993 to December 1995.

Dan Goodwin studied economics as an undergraduate at Vassar College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
