Ipek Birced

Ipek Birced is a data engineering professional with a diverse background in data stewardship, business intelligence, and financial technology. Currently serving as a Data Engineer at Rithum since August 2023, Ipek previously held positions at Zyte as a Data Steward and at the University of Dundee as a Data Engineer and Honorary Healthcare Scientist, contributing to the CO-CONNECT project in collaboration with Public Health Scotland. A solid foundation in data analysis was established during a role as a Business Intelligence Analyst at FreeAgent, where I managed the migration of the Data Warehouse to AWS Redshift. Ipek's career began with Sainsbury's Bank, where responsibilities included data engineering and operations analysis, complemented by early experiences in graphic design and e-commerce development. Ipek holds a Master’s Degree in Biological Chemistry and Drug Discovery and Bachelor's Degrees in Digital Arts and Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Dundee and Edinburgh Napier University.
