Mark Mackelprang has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and management. Mark started their career as a Co-Op Engineer/Engineering Intern at Digital Equipment Corporation, where they designed hardware and software for a multitasking power supply controller. After that, they worked at Artisoft as a Development Engineer II, building support libraries and utilities for a network operating system. Mark then joined Authentix/SimplySay as a System Architect, where they played a key role in architecting a voice portal system during the dot com boom.
In 2001, Mark moved to Bell and Howell, LLC, where they held the position of Senior Software Architect/Principal Engineer. Mark led various teams and obtained patents for novel designs in enterprise machine control and management software for high-speed mailing equipment. At the same time, they also founded ObjectTier and served as its President until 2004.
Since 2013, Mark has been working at Rithum as an Engineering Manager/Team Lead. Mark has led multiple teams across different domains and locales, working on a SaaS platform for e-commerce. Mark has expertise in agile development processes and extensive experience in leading and managing teams of 5-14 people.
Through their work experience, Mark has demonstrated their technical expertise, leadership skills, and a track record of successful projects and patent acquisitions.
Mark Mackelprang attended Arizona State University from 1985 to 1990, where they obtained a BSEE degree in Electrical/Software Engineering.
