SOLUTIONS
We have reintroduced 18,000 acres of strategically-sited floodplain forests (an area  nearly half the size of San Francisco) over the past 25 years. By expanding habitat  for fragile species, we provide cost-effective, natural flood protection and water  conservation. River Partners’ projects are at the forefront of California’s efforts to fight climate change. Our proven solutions protect our natural resources and build resilient communities.

In the next decade, River Partners is positioned to significantly expand critical habitat for native species, flood protection, water conservation, carbon storage and support for at- risk communities. WHERE WE WORK
Just 5% of  California’s  native  riparian  habitat  remains.  We  are  working  to  restore  a meaningful foothold for wildlife and provide immediate solutions to water management challenges throughout the state. With the largest on-the-ground restoration footprint of any nonprofit organization or for-profit firm in the western US, River Partners restores river corridors from the northern Sacramento Valley to the US-Mexico border in some of the State’s most ecologically-imperiled farmland, native grass and scrublands.
