Jean-Pascal Goninet has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Jean-Pascal started their career at Sun Microsystems Europe, where they held various roles including Sales Representative, International Account Manager, and Sales Manager. During their time at Cisco Systems France, they served as the Operations Director, managing sales for the Enterprise and Public Sector Market segments. Jean-Pascal also developed and managed relationships with top Strategic Service Providers, transforming the sales approach from technology selling to solution selling. At Cisco Systems Europe, they further advanced their career, serving as the Executive Client Director for Orange/France Telecom Group, leading a team of 80+ people and generating revenue of over $500 million. Jean-Pascal later became the Operations Director for Borderless Networks South Europe, overseeing the transformation of the sales and marketing organizations to solution selling and managing the Systems Engineers community. Jean-Pascal then joined Promethean as the VP for Southern Europe and Africa, and later the VP of International Solution Sales. In their most recent role at Riverbed Technology, they worked as the Senior Director for Strategic Global Partners, responsible for managing the strategic relationship with the Orange Group worldwide and defining the company's strategy.

Jean-Pascal Goninet obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance, General from ESC Clermont Business School from 1977 to 1980. In 1981 to 1982, they pursued further education at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, earning a License in Business Law. In 1982, they attended Thunderbird School of Global Management and received an additional MBA, focusing on World Business, Finance, and Marketing.
