Simon Smith

Simon Smith has a diverse work experience in health, safety, and facilities management. Simon started their career as a Health & Safety Assistant at Bury College in 2010, where they worked closely with the Director of Health & Safety. Simon managed work experience and apprenticeship appraisals, maintained records for potential claims, and supervised a team of 8 security officers. In addition to their role at Bury College, Simon also served as a Sports Technician, supporting staff, conducting equipment audits, and completing fitness certifications. Simon then moved on to become the Health & Safety and Facilities Manager at St Gabriel's Roman Catholic High School in 2018. Currently, Simon holds the position of Deputy Head of Estates (Health and Safety) at Riverside College Widnes & Runcorn since 2019.

Simon Smith attended St Monicas RC High School from 2003 to 2008. During this time, they did not pursue any specific degree or field of study. In 2008, they enrolled at Bury College and obtained a BTEC Sport Level 2 in Sports Studies, which they completed in 2009. After a gap of several years, Simon returned to education in 2018 and attended Act Associates. Simon completed a NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety in 2019.
