Deborah Rees has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Deborah started their career in 2010 as a Systems Accountant at Amey, where they focused on compliance and business improvement. Deborah then moved on to become a Group Leader at Liberata, responsible for accounts receivable and business improvement. Deborah joined BAE Systems as a Systems Accountant and Project Manager, implementing various P2P systems and leading process mapping projects. Deborah later worked at Kier Group as an Interim Process Improvement/Finance Project Manager, successfully turning around a broken labor process. Deborah also served as an Interim P2P Transformation Manager at Serco, where they developed strategies to improve purchasing, control costs, and explore new processes for increased efficiency in different business functions. Deborah further honed their skills as an Interim SSC Finance Transformation Manager at The BBI Group, overseeing a finance transformation program. Deborah then joined BT as a P2P Program Transformation Lead, responsible for resolving issues and implementing solutions for BT Italy, and facilitating a smooth transition to the Shared Service Centre in Budapest. Deborah also worked as an Interim P2P Project Manager and Business Analyst at Micro Focus and as the Managing Director at Lean Synergies Ltd., where they provided expertise on finance transformation programs and project management. Currently, Deborah is employed at Riverside as the Finance Integration Lead.

Deborah Rees obtained an Accreditation in Principles of lean thinking from LERC - Cardiff business school in 2009. In the same year, they also completed a Practitioner course in Prince2 project management at the University of Glamorgan. From 1999 to 2004, Deborah pursued a degree in Accountancy through Home Study and obtained a CIMA qualification.
