Michael began their career in 1989 as a Photojournalist at KWQC-TV6 (NBC) and later worked as a News Photojournalist at WQAD-TV (ABC) until 2008. In 2015, they gained expertise in Material Handling - Suspended Loads and Rigging from Marcal Rope and Rigging. In 2017, they obtained a certification in Hearing Loss Prevention from 3M. In 2019, they became a Certified National Safety Council Instructor for First Aid and C.P.R. through the National Safety Council. Recently, in 2021, they completed the OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Certificate offered by the US Department of Labor OSHA.
