Ryan Murphy is currently a Residential Instructor at Riverview School. Prior to this, Ryan was an Adjunct Professor/Instructor at the University of Holy Cross from January 2018 to May 2019. There, they created and delivered courses to improve Praxis passage rates of college education students. Ryan was also a Science and Test Prep Teacher at Thomas Jefferson High School for Advanced Studies from August 2016 to July 2020. While there, they launched the AP Computer Science Principles course and achieved AP test passage rates of 85%, 87.5%, and 92% over the first three years. Ryan also created a test prep course that improved student ACT test scores by over 3 points on average on a 36 point scale schoolwide and helped 11 students achieve National Merit Finalist status. Additionally, Ryan sponsored the environmental club and oversaw the affiliation with the LSU Coastal Roots project, a program to grow and plant trees to prevent coastal erosion in south Louisiana. Prior to their time at Thomas Jefferson High School for Advanced Studies, Ryan was an Account Representative at Fresenius Medical Care from October 2011 to April 2012 and a Compliance Specialist at Rebirth Financial from August 2011 to October 2011.
