Sara Jackson

Sara began working at Riverview in 2001. She’s had many roles including Residential Instructor, Residential Supervisor, Advisor, and Social Pragmatics and Behavior Specialist. In her current role, she oversees the Residential Program and staffing for Middle School and High School students. Sara also has coached the Riverview Swim Team for many years and assisted with coaching cross country and track and field.

Sara earned a BA in Neuroscience from Hamilton College and her MSW from Boston University. Additionally, she is trained in Social Thinking and has specialized training related to teaching executive functioning skills. Sara discovered her passion for working with students with learning challenges coaching Special Olympics swimming and then working at Camp Northwood, where she spent 15 summers. At Camp Northwood, she met Riverview students, which led her to the Cape and to Riverview.

Sara resides in Yarmouth Port. She enjoys being active outdoors; participating in water sports and competing in triathlons and other multi-sport events around New England.
