Nathan Moon

Chief Architect at Rivet

Nathan Moon is the current Chief Architect at Rivet. Nathan has previously held the position of CTO at Yours.co from June 2017 to April 2019. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at HireVue from June 2012 to June 2017, where they designed RESTful APIs in Python on top of PostgreSQL, worked on the React/Redux frontend, and added Elasticsearch to the stack to handle search and facets. Nathan has also gained experience with Amazon Web Services. Nathan has also submitted 1 patent and led multiple teams. In 2013, they were awarded "Founders Club". Before HireVue, Nathan was a Software Engineer at Park City Group, Inc. from May 2003 to February 2005, where they designed, developed, and tested multi-tier Client/Server business management applications in Java/Oracle using J2SE, JDBC, JNDI, and Swing. Nathan gained experience with Agile programming, Design Patterns, SQL, JUnit, and Toad while at Park City Group. Nathan also led an initiative to create an extensive unit test framework where tests were run on an automated schedule and failures were e-mailed to responsible developers. Nathan successfully used automated unit and functional tests to ensure the stability of critical fixes in an environment where bug-fix turn-around for clients was often a matter of hours.

Nathan Moon studied computer science at Brigham Young University and then went on to complete their MS in the same field at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Their manager is Ted Ferrin, Co-Founder & CEO. Nathan Moon works with Dustin Locke - Head of Design, Victoria Bacon - Director, People Operations, and Christian Sanchez - Creative Director.
