Ian H.

Ian H. is an accomplished technical professional with extensive experience in system engineering and software development. Currently a Member of Technical Staff at Rivos Inc. since April 2022, Ian is involved in ISA simulation, design verification/cosimulation, and Linux bringup. Previously, at Ventana Micro Systems, Ian worked as an Engineer focused on emulation and debugging of RTL, microarchitecture, and the Linux kernel. As a Senior Principal Design Engineer at Ampere, Ian specialized in emulation, firmware/operating system bring-up, and hardware/RTL debugging. Ian's career began as a Senior Staff Design Engineer at AppliedMicro, where collaboration with RTL and design verification teams led to the identification of hardware/software issues on custom ARMv8 server SoCs. Additionally, Ian contributed to the development of TrustZone software at Qualcomm and held a cooperative software engineering position at Cisco. Ian holds a Bachelor of Math degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.
