Simon Mapstone

Simon Mapstone has had a diverse work experience in the field of procurement. Simon is currently working as the Head of Group Procurement at RM plc since January 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Indirect Procurement at Ultra Electronics from November 2016 to December 2022. Simon also worked at QinetiQ as the Procurement Category Lead for Corporate Professional Services from April 2015 to November 2016. Simon has experience in sourcing and supplier management at LV= from November 2010 to April 2015, and at Virgin Media as a Procurement Manager for Corporate Professional Services from September 2009 to November 2010. Simon also worked as a Procurement Manager at Siemens VAI from July 2008 to September 2009. Simon began their career at Babcock International Group, where they held multiple roles as a Senior Buyer for both materials and services between April 2007 and July 2008, and as a Commercial Graduate in Procurement from June 2004 to December 2005.

Simon Mapstone has a Bachelor's Degree in International Business from the University of Plymouth, which they obtained between 1998 and 2002. Simon also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Strategy and Procurement Management from the University of Birmingham, completed from 2004 to 2007.
