Stuart McFarlane

Stuart McFarlane is a multidisciplinary researcher and award-winning designer specializing in auditory perception, cognition, and human performance, with a PhD in Auditory Display from RMIT University. McFarlane's current research focuses on the effects of auditory stimuli on human performance, particularly in relation to sleep inertia. They have a strong background in design and academia, having served as a director in the design industry from 2007 to 2014 and as a lecturer and researcher at RMIT University from 2014 to 2020. With over 25 years of professional experience, McFarlane is a proponent of collaboration and innovative research methodologies.
