Derek Stedman

Derek Stedman leads specialty lines vulnerability development for Moody’s RMS catastrophe models, focusing on Industrial Facilities, Marine Cargo, and Builder's Risk. Previously, they held roles as Lead Modeler and Director of Analytics and Modeling at RMS, where they managed extensive model development and quality assurance processes. Derek has contributed to research on the Fujita Scale and has experience coaching rowing teams and teaching civil engineering courses. They hold a Master of Civil Engineering with a focus on Wind Engineering from The University of Western Ontario.
