Lifang Luo

Lifang Luo is currently a Director of Analytics and Modeling at Moody’s RMS, with extensive experience in quantitative models and data analytics, particularly in natural disaster risk modeling. Since 2014, Lifang has been a Senior Agriculture Modeler, focusing on crop loss simulations due to extreme weather events and developing stochastic climate models. Previously, Lifang served as a Principal Modeler, where they developed high-resolution wildfire occurrence models and conducted research on property damage from significant fires in Canada. Lifang’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Soil Hydrology and Physics from Pennsylvania State University and both M.S. and B.S. degrees in Geography from Beijing Normal University.
