Alexis Smith

Alexis Smith is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the technology and research sectors. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Pemberton since June 2019, Alexis also contributes as a Data Advisory Board Member at RNLI and as a Panel Member at UCL's Department of Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering. Previously, Alexis led a Stealth Mode Startup from October 2021 to February 2024 and held the position of Fellowship Panel College Board Member at UK Research and Innovation from August 2020 to August 2023, focusing on supporting early-career researchers. As the Founder and CEO of IMGeospatial from August 2015 to March 2022, Alexis developed AIMEE, an advanced machine learning platform for automated business intelligence. Additional roles include Senior Expert on the Digital Expert Panel at NERC and Co-Chair of the Digital Water Group at the UK Water Partnership. Alexis founded Clever Clogs IP Ltd to manage intellectual property and brand licensing. Education includes a focus on entrepreneurship near Oxford, UK, from 2004 to 2026.
