Alison Hone

Alison (Ali) Hone is an experienced tax adviser and charity VAT specialist with a strong background in the charity and not-for-profit sectors. Currently serving as a Non Executive Director at WaterAid Trading Limited and an Interim Tax Adviser for the RSPCA, Alison also operates an independent advisory firm called Alison Hone Limited, focusing on VAT for charities and not-for-profits. Previous roles include Charity VAT Partner at Saffery Champness, where Alison managed VAT services and a diverse client portfolio, and Treasurer for St James Weybridge PCC. Additionally, Alison has volunteered as a Retail Assistant at RNLI and held various positions at HMRC, focusing on VAT compliance. Alison is also a trained Mental Health First Aider and has contributed articles to Charity Finance Magazine.
