Chris Vaughan

Inshore Rescue Boat (irb) Trainer

Chris Vaughan is an experienced Crew Manager and Firefighter at Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service since September 2017. With a longstanding commitment to the RNLI, Chris serves as the Area Supervisor for South Wales and has held multiple operational roles, including Rescue Water Craft Trainer and Inshore Rescue Boat Trainer. Recognized with the Chief Executive Award for significant contributions to the RNLI, Chris also has extensive experience in various lifeboat capacities and has participated in nationwide flood rescue operations. Prior experience includes serving as a Subject Matter Expert for the Royal Marines and Special Boat Service, water safety consultations for high-profile individuals at Google Events, and working as a Surf Instructor. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Management from Swansea University and multiple qualifications in emergency services and adventure activity management.
