James Rickard

James Rickard serves as the Critical Care Clinical Operations Manager at South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust since November 2022, having previously held the role of Critical Care Paramedic at South East Coast Ambulance Service since July 2014. With a rich background in emergency services, James has also been a Lifeboat Crew member with RNLI since April 2011 and worked as a Paramedic and Student Paramedic for East Of England Ambulance Trust from September 2008 to July 2014. Earlier experience includes serving as a Special Constable with British Transport Police from 2005 to 2010. James holds a PGCert in Critical Care from the University of Hertfordshire, a Certificate in Higher Education Emergency Medical Care from the University of East Anglia, and a Bachelor's Degree in Music from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
