John Gaughan has extensive experience in the energy and engineering sectors, currently serving as a Production Shift Supervisor at Vermilion Energy since November 2018, after previously holding the position of Operations Technician. Prior to this, John worked for Shell in various roles, including Operations Technician and Offshore Pipeline Installation, contributing to the installation of offshore natural gas pipelines. Additional experience includes serving as a Reinstatement Engineer at Northern Gas Networks M & A Doocey Civil Engineering and as a Student Engineer at JJ Rhattigan. John has been a Volunteer Crew Member with the Ballyglass Lifeboat since 2008. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Construction Management from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, alongside advanced maritime certifications from BIM & Lifeboat College UK and SVQ Level 3 in Hydrocarbons from Lowesoft College.
