Simon Bowen Freng

Simon Bowen FREng is an accomplished leader in the nuclear industry, currently serving as Chair at Great British Nuclear since March 2023, and as Technical Committee Chair for RNLI and Chairman of Devonport Royal Dockyard Limited since February 2020. Bowen has contributed as a Nuclear Industry Advisor to the UK government from May 2022 to July 2024, advising high-level officials on the setup of GB Nuclear to enhance the UK's nuclear power capacity. Past roles include Non Executive Director at Rolls-Royce Submarines Limited, Chief Executive of Nuclear at Babcock International Group, and several chairman positions including Dounreay Site Restoration Limited and Magnox Ltd. Leadership experience also encompasses managing director responsibilities at URENCO UK Limited from September 2010 to July 2015.
