Stephen Starkey

Stephen Starkey has extensive experience in the technical and engineering fields, currently serving as a Systems Technician at RNLI since March 2014, focusing on the maintenance and repair of search and rescue assets. Prior roles include Platform Integration Technician at Thales, where responsibilities included developing Electronic Counter Measurements vehicles for the UK Armed Forces, and Technician at Mercedes-Benz UK Ltd, managing equipment maintenance in a workshop setting. Stephen's career began in the British Army as a REME Vehicle Mechanic, with deployments to challenging environments such as the Gulf and Africa. An educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from The Open University and a City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering from SEME.
