Shane Canfield

Shane Canfield is a Software Engineer at RNWBL starting in February 2023. Previously, they worked at WEX as a Software Engineer from July 2021 to December 2022. Before that, Shane was a Research Assistant in Computational Chemistry at Kenyon College from August 2019 to September 2020. Shane also held the same role at The Ohio State University from May 2019 to August 2019, focusing on protein-protein docking. In addition, they worked as a Research Assistant in Biochemistry at The Ohio State University from May 2018 to August 2018, synthesizing molecules for cell-penetrating peptide research. Prior to their academic roles, Shane served as a Program Director at Alice Noble Ice Arena from June 2016 to August 2017, ensuring client safety and managing program staff and correspondence. Shane initially started at Alice Noble Ice Arena as a Program Staff member from June 2014 to June 2016.

Shane Canfield holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science, along with a Graduate Certificate in Engineering Management, from Washington University McKelvey School of Engineering. Shane also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biochemistry from Kenyon College. In addition, Shane has acquired a certification in Data Analytics for Business Professionals from LinkedIn, which they obtained in February 2022.
