David Reid

David Reid is a seasoned journalism professional with extensive experience in managing and producing news content. Currently serving as the Local Democracy Reporting Manager at Radio New Zealand since April 2020, David leads a team of 18 reporters and editors. Previously, David held the Deputy Editor position at Radio New Zealand and worked as a Senior Correspondent at CNBC, focusing on business, politics, and economics. Earlier career roles at Radio New Zealand included journalist, radio editor, producer, and documentary maker. David's educational background includes a Postgraduate Degree in Journalism from Massey University, a Master of Science in Business/Commerce from the University of Bath, and a Bachelor of Science in Surveying Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University.
