They have held notable positions, including Head of News at The Dominion Post and Editor at Stuff, where they directed news coverage and managed editorial teams. Patrick was also the award-winning editor of New Zealand's most popular news site and currently serves as the Director of AI Strategy & Implementation at RNZ. They earned a Graduate Diploma in Journalism from Auckland University of Technology and a BA in Politics and Film from Victoria University of Wellington.
