Roade Primary School is proud to be one of 34 schools across England appointed by the DfE in 2018 to support local schools, academies and free schools in the teaching of phonics, early language and reading in Reception and Year 1.

Recognised in a recent government-commissioned report for having a ‘substantial’ impact on pupil outcomes and 'broader literacy', the programme now covers EYFS, KS1, KS2 and KS3.

Our team of highly trained literacy specialists supports schools across Northamptonshire, Luton and Leicestershire through free in-school support, high-quality CPD and access to resource funding.
