Benjamin Vencill has held various roles in the tech industry since 2014. Benjamin began their career as a Laboratory Assistant at the University of Georgia, where they were Lab Safety trained and certified and worked full time as a laboratory assistant with a team of research scientists. In 2016, they took on the role of UI/UX Developer Intern at DigitalGlobe, where they developed Python script tools to populate an SQL database with dynamic data types and engineered a RESTful framework for serving database queries to a web-based UI client. In 2017, they became a Data Scientist at Radiant Solutions. In 2019, they took on the role of Staff Data Scientist at Maxar Technologies, where they researched, designed, and prototyped systems at the intersection of artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction, leveraging the power of deep learning to assist in the human curation of large scale geospatial image detection and segmentation data sets. Benjamin is currently a Data Engineer at Roadie, where they are designing, developing, and maintaining business critical data systems to empower teams to make data-driven decisions and modernizing ETL systems to deliver real-time analytics at scale.

Benjamin Vencill attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Benjamin then returned to the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2021 to 2023 to pursue a Master of Science in Computer Science. In March 2020, they obtained a certification in Time Management: Working from Home from LinkedIn.
