Chuck Plaxico is currently a partner at Roadsafe. Chuck has over 20 years of experience in the field of engineering, specializing in non-linear finite element analysis.

Chuck began their career as a research scientist at The University of Iowa. Chuck then transitioned to Worcester Polytechnic Institute where they taught matrix analysis of structures and finite element modeling for impact analysis while also working as an associate research engineer.

In 2003, they took a position as senior research scientist / equipment development and mechanical systems at Battelle. There, they led the Non-linear Finite Element Analysis Group and was director of the Center of Excellence in Finite Element Analysis of Roadside Safety Features awarded by FHWA. Chuck's research involved the analysis, design, and development of roadside safety systems and impact analysis on materials and structures.

In 2009, they left Battelle to become a partner at Roadsafe. At Roadsafe, they use their expertise in engineering to help make roads safer for everyone.

Chuck Plaxico has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Mississippi, and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Mississippi.
