Magazine in 2009, where they wrote daily stories on small business breaking news. Alexandra then joined The Wall Street Journal as a Freelance Reporter, Multimedia Producer, and later as an Entertainment and Business Reporter, covering art and entertainment, film and television studios. At Variety, Alexandra worked as a Senior Film Reporter, focusing on industry trends, financing deals, and the economics of major studios' movie slates. Alexandra Cheney earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Hispanic Studies from Wheaton College Massachusetts in 2006. During their undergraduate studies, they also spent a year abroad at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where they focused on Spanish Film and Culture. Additionally, they attended the University School of Design and Engineering of Barcelona during the same period, immersing herself in Spanish Culture and Design.
In 2009, Alexandra pursued a Master of Science degree in Journalism at Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism.
Outside of their formal education, they obtained certifications in scuba diving, including a Dry Suit Diver certification from PADI in January 2020 and an Open Water Scuba Diver certification from PADI in January 2006.
