Iman Honarvar has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Financial Representative at Behnam Ghateh Pishro. In 2009, they also served as a Project Assistant at Aryana Industrial and Research Group. Iman then pursued higher education and became a PhD Candidate at Maastricht University from 2013 to 2017. During this time, they also worked as a Research Assistant at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management and as a Risk Management Consultant at Montesquieu for a brief period. In 2012, they started working at FinLab Solutions SA as a Research and Development Associate and later became a Research and Development Consultant from 2013 to 2017. In 2019, they joined Erasmus School of Economics as a Lecturer. More recently, in 2022, Iman took on the role of a Member of the Advisory Board of the Master in Finance Program at the University of Amsterdam. Currently, they are working at Robeco, where they started in 2017 as a Quant Researcher and progressed to the position of Director of Quant Research in 2023.
Iman Honarvar completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University of Technology from 2006 to 2010. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Financial Engineering from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) between the years 2010 and 2012. In 2013, Iman Honarvar obtained a certification in Teaching with PBL Technique. Iman then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Finance from Maastricht University, which they completed from 2013 to 2017. In 2016, they also had the opportunity to be a Visiting Scholar at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in the field of Finance.
