Joris Blonk has a diverse work experience. Joris started their career at Jumbo van Bergen in 2007 where they worked as a Grocery Clerk, taking on various responsibilities such as evening team management and ordering supplies. In 2012, they worked as a Workstudent Statistics 2 at Tilburg University, where they were a lecturer for tutorials and computer practicals for Statistics 2. Joris also corrected exams and team assignments for the corresponding course. Joris continued this role until April 2013. From April 2013 to May 2014, Joris worked as a Research Assistant at Netspar: Network for Studies on Pensions, Aging and Retirement, assisting prof. dr. T. In 2014, they interned at Robeco as a Super Quant Intern, while also writing their Master Thesis on the challenges and solutions of liquidity and transaction costs in factor investing. Finally, Joris joined Robeco in 2015 as a Quantitative Researcher.

Joris Blonk obtained a VWO degree in Natuur & Techniek, Natuur & Gezondheid from Maaslandcollege Oss in 2009. Joris then went on to attend Tilburg University, where they completed a Bachelor's degree in Econometrics and Operational Research, graduating cum laude in 2013. During their time at Tilburg University, Joris also participated in the Outreaching Honors Program from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, they had an exchange semester at Universidad del Pacífico (PE). Joris furthered their education at Tilburg University and graduated with a Master's degree in Quantitative Finance and Actuarial Science, again cum laude, in 2015.
