Frank Ong

Frank Ong is the Director of AI at IRL, leveraging a robust background in machine learning and computer vision. They held positions as a Research Associate at Stanford University and a Postdoctoral Researcher, focusing on imaging methods with applications to MRI. Previously, Frank worked as a Research Scientist at Subtle Medical, contributing to deep learning methods for medical imaging, and as an Applied Scientist at Amazon, where they developed algorithms for visual search. Frank has also excelled as a Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Roblox since 2022 and led a machine learning team at a startup from 2021 to 2022. They earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
