Oded Horovitz

Oded Horovitz is a seasoned software engineer with significant experience in cybersecurity and software technology. Currently serving as a Software Engineer at Roblox since August 2021, Oded previously held a Software Engineer position at Facebook from October 2019 to July 2021, after working in Information Security at Facebook from August 2014 to December 2018. As Co-Founder of PrivateCore from December 2011 to August 2014, Oded contributed to security innovations. An Entrepreneur in Residence at Foundation Capital from August 2011 to April 2012, Oded focused on security software technologies. Notably, during a tenure at VMware from July 2006 to July 2011, Oded led architectural efforts for security solutions and was instrumental in releasing vShield Endpoint 1. Prior experience includes a leadership role at McAfee from May 2003 to June 2006, overseeing the Host Intrusion Prevention team, and serving as Chief Architect for Windows Kernel Development at Entercept from July 1998 to April 2003, where Oded invented core defense technologies that significantly enhanced cybersecurity measures.
