Aravind Durai is the founder and CEO of RoboChef, a company that reimagines the way food is prepared and delivered to consumers. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Automation and founding member of Home Delivery Service (HDS Global), where they designed the end-to-end robotic fulfillment technology and secured $38MM investments from Toyota, Ingram Micro, and angel investors. Before that, they were the Robotics Manager for Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc and authored the marketing plan for the robotics product line. Aravind also worked as an Applications Lead for FANUC Robotics America where they helped clients like Caterpillar and Monsanto to deploy robotics and automation. Earlier in their career, Aravind was a Senior Designer for Baxter International and a Robotics Engineer for ABB and KUKA Robotics where they delivered robotic welding solutions for clients like Caterpillar, John Deere, and Johnson Controls.
Aravind Durai completed their MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in 2009. Aravind had previously earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of Technology and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Illinois University. Aravind completed their secondary education at St. Bede's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, but it is unclear if they earned a degree at that level.
