Abid Hasan

Abid Hasan is a Principal Scientist II in Bioinformatics at Roche, where they previously held the position of Principal Scientist I. Abid began their career at Roche as a Bioinformatics Intern, focusing on a variant calling project and developing tools in Java and Python. Prior to their role at Roche, Abid served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Riverside, and conducted research as a Graduate Student Researcher in the Algorithms and Computational Biology Lab. Abid also has experience as a Lecturer at the Islamic University of Technology, where they taught undergraduate courses in Computer Science and Engineering and mentored students on their final year thesis projects. They earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside, following their Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the Islamic University of Technology.
