Alex Smith

Alex Smith has a robust background in pharmacovigilance and drug discovery, beginning with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Nottingham University and a Master of Science in Drug Discovery Skills from King's College London. Early experience includes a placement at Eli Lilly and Company, contributing to in vitro pharmacology efforts. Following this, Alex held several roles at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, including Signal Assessor and Associate Signal Assessor, focusing on adverse drug reaction reports and pharmacovigilance signal detection. Since March 2019, Alex has served as Pharmacovigilance Process Director at Roche, overseeing the design and maintenance of core pharmacovigilance processes as the Global Process Owner for Literature Searches and Safety Notifications.
