Ali Nowrouzi, PhD, is a multidisciplinary scientific leader with over 15 years of expertise in genomic platform development, functional genomics, and gene and cell therapy. Currently serving as Lab Head and Principal Scientist at Roche, they oversee the clinical development of genomic biomarkers while managing a team of research associates. Previously, Ali held significant roles at University Hospital Heidelberg and Spark Therapeutics, focusing on biomarker discovery and genomic safety evaluations for gene therapy programs. Ali earned a PhD in Molecular Virology from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, where they also received their diploma in Biology and a certificate in economic innovation utilization.
