Benjamin Brennecke

DNA-encoded library chemist

Benjamin Brennecke is currently a postdoctoral researcher with Nicolas Winssinger at the University of Geneva, focusing on organic chemistry, chemical biology, and drug discovery. They earned a Doktor (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from Freie Universität Berlin, where they also completed a Master’s and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with high distinction. Previously, Benjamin was a Ph.D. student at the Leibniz-Forschungsinstitut für Molekulare Pharmakologie, developing enzyme-responsive optical probes and fluorescent probes. They also gained experience as a research intern at SCHOTT and Roche, working on silica-nanoparticle composite materials and the optimization of fluorescent probes.
