Christopher Witbooi

Christopher Witbooi is a Principal Scientist I at Roche, where they focus on enzyme engineering for applications in life sciences and diagnostics. They previously worked as a Senior Scientist at Roche, contributing expertise in protein engineering and directed evolution. Christopher began their career as a lab assistant at the Institute for Plant Biotechnology and progressed to research roles at Kapa Biosystems and Structural Biology Cancer UWC, where they specialized in nuclear magnetic resonance research. They hold a BSc Honours Cum Laude in Biotechnology from the University of the Western Cape and a National Diploma in Biotechnology from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
