David Zilian

David Zilian is a Senior Scientist at Roche, where they support and lead protein engineering and optimization in early phase antibody discovery projects. They have developed machine learning methods for protein engineering and acted in an interdisciplinary matrix environment as both a contributor and team lead. Previously, David was a Data Scientist and a PhD student at the University of Wuerzburg, where they focused on molecular modeling and computer-aided drug design. They also served as a Statistical Process Expert at Novartis, specializing in the statistical evaluation of biopharmaceutical processes. David holds a Staatsexamen in Pharmacy from Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.
